Trains still regularly pass through this quaint, historic western downtown. Old passenger rail cars can be seen in town, near the historic Willcox Depot. One has even been converted into a restaurant, The Dining Car. If you stop by and eat there, walk down to Buffalo Sisters Trading Post where you will find interesting antiques, collectibles, and art.
Recreational activities in Willcox include hiking, camping, horseback riding, and golfing at Twin Lakes Golf Course, a nine-hole course. Like all of Southern Arizona, Willcox is another prime birdwatching stop. Wings Over Willcox - A Sanhill Crane Celebration is an event held in January.
Willcox is an agricultural area that produces corn, peppers, beans, squash, zucchini, cherries, peaches, apples, pears, pecans, and pistachios. Willcox is becoming increasingly more recognized for its vineyards that produce fine wine grapes. For more Southern Arizona wine information, visit Arizona Vines & Wines. Thanks for Visiting
